Pool equipment repair in Chandler
We come to your equipment pad in Chandler, find out what has actually failed, and tell you before anything is replaced.
$120 diagnostic, credited toward your repair · set pricing on many common repairs and installations
Chandler sits at the western side of the area we cover. We come to the equipment pad, run the equipment, and find out which part has actually failed before anything is quoted. If the answer turns out to be a tripped breaker or a packed basket, the Pool Problem Finder will often tell you that before anyone needs to drive out.
Hard water and your equipment
The City of Chandler reports water hardness between 5 and 20 grains per gallon, with a citywide average of 16.5. That is hard water, and pool equipment shows it:
- Salt cells scale fastest. A coated cell makes less chlorine and can report low salt in water that tests fine. See salt system repair.
- Heaters collect scale on the inside, which shows up as poor heating and, eventually, overheating faults.
- Filters load faster when scale builds on the media, which pushes the pressure up and the flow down. See pool filter pressure too high.
Evaporation makes it worse. Every inch the pool loses in summer leaves its minerals behind, and the top-up water brings more.

Questions we get asked
Do you come to my part of Chandler?
Chandler is one of the nine East Valley communities we serve, and it sits at the western side of that area. If you are near the western edge of the city, tell us your cross streets when you call or in the Pool Problem Finder and you will get a straight answer about scheduling.
Why does my salt cell scale up so fast?
Hard water. A salt cell pulls minerals out of the water onto its plates as it works, and the City of Chandler reports a citywide average hardness of 16.5 grains per gallon. Evaporation through the summer, topped up with tap water, concentrates it further. Scale cuts chlorine output and can make the control box misread the salt level.
Is hard water why my heater or filter keeps having problems?
It can be part of it. Scale builds inside heaters and on filter media as well as on salt cells. It is rarely the only cause, which is why we measure flow, pressure and the equipment's own readings before blaming the water.

A few questions is usually enough to tell a five-minute fix from a real repair.
