Mobile Pool Repair
Repair guides
What each symptom usually means, what you can check safely, and the point at which you should stop and call someone.
Pool pump
The pump is where most equipment problems start, and it is the branch we have developed furthest.
- Pool pump not turning on — silent and dead. Often power rather than the pump.
- Pool pump humming but not starting — power is arriving, the motor isn't turning. Switch it off first.
- Pool pump running but no water flow — the symptom with the most causes and the best odds you fix it yourself.
- Pool pump keeps shutting off — time it. How long it runs decides the diagnosis.
- Pool pump making a loud noise — the kind of noise matters more than the volume.
- Pool pump leaking — where the water appears is most of the answer.
- Pool pump losing prime — it primes, then loses it. The question is where air is getting in.
- Pool pump tripping the breaker — a breaker that keeps tripping is working. Stop resetting it.
Pool filter
The filter branch is new and reasons from the gauge, because the gauge is the one continuously available measurement on a pool pad.
- Pool filter pressure too high — usually maintenance rather than repair. What matters is whether a cleaning fixes it.
- Pool filter pressure too low — either a failed gauge or a pump that isn't delivering. One look at the return jets separates them.
What these guides are
General pool-equipment reasoning: the kind of thing an experienced technician would tell you on the phone. Written to be useful on a phone screen, standing at the pad, with the sound off.
On error codes. The same code means different things on different manufacturers and product lines, so send us the code and the model together and we will read it against that manufacturer's own documentation. That is a safety-relevant distinction rather than a technicality: a code interpreted from the wrong manual sends you after the wrong part.
Codes and explainers
The blog covers what a specific heater code or warning means, from the manufacturer's own manual: for example Pentair MasterTemp error codes, Hayward heater error codes and a pool heater that won't heat.

A few questions is usually enough to tell a five-minute fix from a real repair.
