Pool equipment repair in Gilbert
We come to your equipment pad in Gilbert, find out what has actually failed, and tell you before anything is replaced.
$120 diagnostic, credited toward your repair · set pricing on many common repairs and installations
Gilbert sits centrally in the area we cover. We come to the equipment pad, run the equipment, and find out which part has actually failed before anything is quoted. If the answer turns out to be a tripped breaker or a packed basket, the Pool Problem Finder will often tell you that before anyone needs to drive out.
Pads built in the 1990s and 2000s
Census Bureau figures for 2019 to 2023 put almost two thirds of Gilbert's housing as built between 1990 and 2009, with the 2000s the single largest decade. A pool built then may well have had its equipment replaced piece by piece rather than all at once: a new pump one summer, a salt system added later, an automation panel after that.
That kind of history shapes what tends to go wrong:
- Mixed-brand pads. A pump, salt system and controller from different makers may not talk to each other, so one item ends up ignoring the schedule. See pool automation repair.
- Valves and actuators. Valve actuators that switch between pool and spa, or feed a water feature, stop turning or stop part-way. See valve and actuator repair.
- Plumbing at the pad. Older PVC, unions and valve bodies start to weep, and a slow drip under the pump or filter rarely fixes itself. See equipment-pad leak repair.
- Single-speed pumps still in service from earlier replacements, now with worn bearings or a motor that hums and won't start. See pool pump repair.
Summer run-times
Phoenix averages 111 days a year at 100°F or above, according to the National Weather Service's 1991 to 2020 normals, with the first typically around May 2 and the last around October 5. Those are the months a pool pump runs longest, and they are when a weak capacitor, a worn bearing or a clogged filter finally shows itself. A pump that trips its breaker in the afternoon but runs fine at night is worth having looked at before the next heat wave.
Water supply and leaks
The Town of Gilbert says its supply comes from Salt River Project water, Colorado River water through the Central Arizona Project, reclaimed water and a small share of groundwater, and that its Colorado River supply will be reduced from January 1, 2027. A leak at the equipment pad wastes that water and raises the bill, so a dripping pump seal or valve is a sensible early repair rather than one to leave until it gets worse.

Why homeowners call us
You approve the price first
Whether we are diagnosing a fault or doing a job you already know you need, you hear the price before any work starts. Nothing is replaced until you have approved it.
Pool equipment is all we work on
Pumps, motors, filters, salt systems, automation and the plumbing at the pad. The technician who diagnoses it is the one who fixes it.
Upfront pricing
Not sure what's wrong? A $120 diagnostic finds it, and the $120 is credited toward your repair if you go ahead. Many common repairs and installations have a set price instead.
Questions we get asked
My pump runs but the pool still looks bad in August. What should I check first?
The filter pressure and the pump schedule. In the hottest months the pump has the most work to do, and a filter that has loaded up or a schedule that was shortened in winter and never changed back will both show up first in July and August. If the pressure is high, the filter is the place to start.
My pad has three different brands on it. Can the automation still run everything?
Often, but not always. Pumps, salt systems and controllers from different makers talk to each other only in certain combinations, and a replacement part fitted years after the original can leave one item running on its own schedule. We check what the panel can actually see before suggesting anything is replaced.
What does a visit cost if I don't know what's wrong?
A diagnostic is $120, and it is credited toward your repair if you go ahead. If you already know what you need, many common repairs have a set price, and you hear it before any work starts.

A few questions is usually enough to tell a five-minute fix from a real repair.
