$120 diagnostic, credited toward your repair · set pricing on many common repairs and installations

What’s wrong with your pool?

You don’t need to know which part it is. Three quick questions and you’ll have our number and an idea of what you’re dealing with — including when it’s something you can fix yourself.

Why homeowners call us

  • You approve the price first

Whether we are diagnosing a fault or doing a job you already know you need, you hear the price before any work starts. Nothing is replaced until you have approved it.

  • Pool equipment is all we work on

Pumps, motors, filters, salt systems, automation and the plumbing at the pad. The technician who diagnoses it is the one who fixes it.

  • Upfront pricing

Not sure what's wrong? A $120 diagnostic finds it, and the $120 is credited toward your repair if you go ahead. Many common repairs and installations have a set price instead.

How it works

01

Tell us what it’s doing

A few questions about what you can see and hear. No forms, no jargon, and you can stop whenever you like.

02

Get a straight answer

We tell you what it most likely is and how confident that is — including the times you can fix it yourself in five minutes.

03

We arrive already briefed

Your answers go to the technician before the visit. Fewer questions on the driveway, and a better chance of finishing in one trip.

More about how we work

Why a repair specialist

Most pool companies clean pools and repair equipment on the side.

That order matters. A cleaning route is built around volume — a fixed number of stops a day, each one short. Equipment repair is the opposite: it’s diagnostic work that takes as long as it takes, and it goes badly when it’s squeezed between two other stops.

Equipment is the whole of what we do. We carry parts rather than chlorine, the visit takes as long as the diagnosis needs, and the person who diagnoses your equipment is the person who fixes it.

It also means we’ll tell you exactly what we find. Sometimes the problem is as simple as a tripped breaker or a packed pump basket. That may still require a service call to diagnose and correct, but we won’t turn a simple fix into an unnecessary repair.

filter

Pool filter pressure too high

A filter that reads high is usually a filter that has been working. The question is whether cleaning it fixes the reading — and how long it stays fixed.

filter

Pool filter pressure too low

Low pressure means one of two quite different things, and a single look at the return jets separates them.

pump

Pool pump humming but not starting

A hum means power is arriving and the motor is not turning. That is a small set of causes — and one of them gets worse every minute the pump keeps humming.

pump

Pool pump keeps shutting off

A pump that shuts itself down is usually working correctly — something is making it need to. The useful question is how long it runs first.

pump

Pool pump leaking

With pump leaks, location is the diagnosis. Where the water appears narrows it to one or two causes almost immediately.

pump

Pool pump losing prime

A pump that will not hold prime is not a pump problem so much as an air problem. The pump is doing what it can with what is reaching it.

pump

Pool pump making a loud noise

Sound is one of the most useful diagnostic signals on an equipment pad and one of the hardest to describe in writing. The kind of noise matters more than the volume.

pump

Pool pump not turning on

Completely silent, no movement, nothing. A fair share of these are not the pump at all — which is worth knowing before anyone charges you for a visit.

pump

Pool pump running but no water flow

The motor sounds fine and nothing is moving. This symptom has a long list of possible causes and, happily, a good chance you fix it yourself in ten minutes.

pump

Pool pump tripping the breaker

A breaker that trips once can be a coincidence. A breaker that trips every time is a working safety device telling you something specific, and the most important thing you can do is stop resetting it.

Start with what it’s doing.

A few questions is usually enough to know whether this is a five-minute fix or a real repair.
