About the Hayward AQR S3 Omni
Hayward's AQR S3 Omni manuals cover two models: the AQRS340OMNI for residential pools up to 40,000 gallons and the AQRS325OMNI for residential pools up to 25,000 gallons. Hayward describes it as a web-enabled pool automation control with a touchscreen controller that also generates chlorine from salt; it is packaged with a flow switch, a TurboCell and cell unions.
The replacement parts list is one list for both models. It is the AquaRite S3 list plus one extra row, the S3 Omni PCB (GLXS3OMNIPCB), and includes the replacement TurboCell cells (TCELLS315, TCELLS318, TCELLS325, TCELLS340, TCELLS340X25).
Hayward's TurboCell S3 sheet (092666 Rev B) cross-references each TurboCell S3 cell to the older cell selection a chlorinator's menu uses: TCELLS340, TCELLS340W and TCELLS340X25 to t-15 / T-CELL-15; TCELLS325 and TCELLS325W to t-9 / T-CELL-9; TCELLS318 and TCELLS318W to t-5 / T-CELL-5; TCELLS315 and TCELLS315W to t-3 / T-CELL-3. It says the chlorinator must be configured for the cell, and not to use a TurboCell S3 if the chlorinator does not offer the cross-referenced selection. It lists the S3 Omni among the controls that need this configuration (cell type is set under Sense and Dispense in the Configuration Wizard or Quick Edit).
Repair or replace?
