About the Hayward Micro StarClear
Hayward's Micro StarClear owner's manual (IS0120/0200 Rev B) covers models C225, C2001540LSS and C2251540LSS with a single spare-parts list. It is a single-element cartridge filter with 1 1/2 in NPT connections; the system models add a 40 GPM pump and a mounting base.
The only cartridge listed is the 25 sq ft element (or its value version). Hayward rates the filter at 40 psi maximum at 104°F and says it is not for household pressure water lines.
Repair or replace?
Most of these parts are replaceable on their own, which is why it matters which one has actually failed before anything is ordered.
