About the Hayward SwimClear
Hayward's SwimClear owner's manual (ISC2031EF Rev B) covers five top-manifold cartridge filters, C2030, C3030, C4030, C5030 and C7030, with one parts list. Most hardware is shared: gauge, air relief parts, clamp system, seals, bottom seal plate, lower body and union fittings.
What changes with the model is the upper filter body, the top manifold (one for C2030/C3030/C4030, another for C5030/C7030), the outlet pipe and the cartridge elements. The C2030 to C5030 each take four elements; the C7030 takes eight, sold singly or in 4-packs, plus a mid plate connector.
Common problems and the parts involved

Hayward's checks: skimmer and pump strainer baskets clear of debris, no restrictions in the intake and discharge lines, and no air leak in the intake line (shown by bubbles returning to the pool).

Short filter cycles
Hayward's checks: look for algae in the pool and super-chlorinate as required, and keep chlorine and pH in the proper range.

Pool water won't clear up
Hayward's checks: chlorine, pH and total alkalinity adjusted as required, enough flow through the filter, and longer filter run times.

Repair or replace?
Most of these parts are replaceable on their own, which is why it matters which one has actually failed before anything is ordered. Whether a repair or a new pump makes more sense depends on what failed and the condition of the rest of the pump. Pool Filter Repair & Installation · Pool Equipment Replacement & Upgrades
