About the Hayward VariFlo multiport valve
Hayward's VariFlo Multiport owner's manual (IS0710X62 Rev B) covers one model, the SP0710X62 1 1/2 in filter control valve for sand filters, with six positions: Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Closed and Recirculate.
Hayward's servicing notes: to reach the key or the valve seat gasket, set the handle between positions, remove the cover screws and lift the cover and key assembly out. The manual warns that the valve spring is under compression; remove the handle pin only to service the key o-ring, and remove the cover screws slowly in an alternating pattern.
Repair or replace?
